The Meinecke Collection
Handmade Rugs

modern design + artisan craftsmanship

Meinecke Collection rugs are a fusion of artist Kurt Meinecke’s inspired designs and the timeless craft of fine rug making.

Crafted with centuries old techniques perfected by generations of rug making artisans, our rugs are hand-knotted and hand-tufted from the world’s finest virgin wools and silks.

Our Tibetan Naturals series reflects our abiding commitment to a healthy planet.

Earth-friendly in every respect, they are constructed from 100% natural, undyed, renewable resources, including:

wool  •  silk  •  hemp  •  nettle  •  sunpat

Easily customized to combine different fibers and high-low weaving techniques, the rugs are appreciated for their natural color palette and surface appeal. The wool is left undyed, and its unique color tones are used to create distinctive patterns and subtle textural designs.
